Blog #10: Data Collection
Hello everyone! I used the token for Blog #9 and I definitely needed that for sure last week. However, I am back with the last blog of the semester!
✰ Data Collection is a bit daunting because I have never had to do to research or collect data in the past. However, I think I will find it very useful when it comes to collecting critiques from students or using data to understand opinions from students. If I make a survey on a certain topic, how would students think about these options? I also would want to use it to calculate grade averages so students can know how they did as a class versus other classes that I have.
✰ This semester, I really enjoyed reading my classmates' blogs and reading their take on these questions. I really liked the topics where we looked at each others' assignments and give critique on. It helped me see what my peers did, and what I could do different in the future based on my peers. I also loved talking and looking on opinions with being a digital native and understanding the digital divide.
✰ My next technology goal is work through MS Excel. I struggle a bit and I do not use Excel to its full extent, and I definitely would want to be better at it. It's the one Microsoft program that I am not proficient in it like PowerPoint and Word. I will need to do my best and pay attention to the next Zoom session as well as look into tutorials on YouTube or ask for help if needed. I'm a bit nervous, but I am sure that I will take a challenge and be able to use these skills in the future.
Hi Bri! We have similar goals regarding Excel. Excel has always been a very challenging software to use because it is so expansive regarding data collection. I hope I complete Assignment 6 right with a High Pass!
